Would Any One Like to Join Me????

I would like to begin a thread that keeps track of how many days, months, weeks, hell even years those of us who are addicted to applying for credit DON'T apply!  Sort of a support group.  Anybody with me?

Re: Would Any One Like to Join Me????

HEY THERE EVERYONE!!

i know i haven't been around in a loooooooong time, but.......hope everyone is good!  me on the other hand, still up to my same 'ole shananigans.  for the life of me, i just can't seem to not "TRY" to get some credit. i don't understan....i think it's time for counseling! that 21 day thing to change a habit is real.  between quitting smoking, exercising, losing weight, eating right, raising a child and aplying for credit....i don't know which is worse.

you never realize how "jacked up your BAD HABITS are until you get yourself in situations you feel like you cannot dig yourself out of"

Much Love to All of You,

peaved

Sounds cheesy, but I think it's a good idea. It will definitely help me from applying for new credit cards if I have someone screaming down at me, "CONTROL YOURSELF, **bleep**!" lol

Re: Would Any One Like to Join Me????

I went four months between apps and only applied then because I needed to make a large purchase.  I don't play that app game anymore because it did more short-term harm than good for me personally.  Maybe in a year or two I'll apply for something or will apply again if I have to make another large and necessary purchase.  However, for now, I'm perfectly content with what I have and the score increases I've gotten as a result.

Re: Would Any One Like to Join Me????

Once I get my scores above 700, I'm gonna go out and apply for an auto loan. Actually... does anybody think using your high limit credit card is a good idea to buy a car instead of spending the hassle of getting a loan???

Not too mention that if you use your cards, you'll murder your utilization and who says you won't need to make another large purchase and need that high score still.

Just go to a bank or credit union you are comfortable with and apply to be pre-approved for a certain amount, then you can go to the dealer and work out a good deal on the car, without having to worry about financing and interest and all the other ways they try to screw you over at car dealerships.

In the end, you'll find that this will most likely be much less stressful and troublesome.

Just my thoughts...
