When I log into my amex account I see an offer of an Amex PRG with 25k MRs for 1k spend. There is no once in a lifetime language in the offer unlike regular amex apps. I had the Amex PRG like 3 years ago but closed it out. When I spoke with an amex CSR I was told they do not see a PRG in my account history. So it seems like I would be elgible for the bonus. I am at my limit with amex revolvers. I only have one business charge card.
I could really use the 25k MRs. In addition I am kinda hoping that they might offer me some extra points during the course of the year to upgrade to the amex personal plat (I had the personal plat in the past so the only way I could get additional points out of that card is from some sort of upgrade offer and at least with the current perks it may have some other benefits in my retaining status at some hotels in 2018 (I have not gotten the business plat yet as I am waiting for a good offer with a reasonable spend requirement). I'm racking up a number of personal apps lately but after next month I will be done with citi for the next two years, other than the prg card I am done with amex in terms of personal cards, I'm over 5/24 with chase so I will need to sit out two years there. Maybe I snag another personal card from barclays but other than that my focus over the next two years will likely be just business cards.
Given all the above is there any reason not to pull the trigger on the prg right now?
I'm not an expert but I think there's an implicit "once in a lifetime" catch regardless of whether an offer says it or not. Click on it until you get to the legally binding terms and conditions and see what they have to say. Either way, 25k MR isn't the best you can do. If you open an incognito window and navigate to the Amex cards page, you can find a 50k offer.

+1
It's $2k spend in the same 3 month period just as a heads up.
Edit: I have seen the 50k pts/$1k spend but that seems to be rare though I remember someone posting about seeing and getting approved for that spend bonus recently on here

Actually I read all the legal disclosures. Its not in there. If I go to an incognito window and do all that I will get different terms that will have that language in there. Now maybe it wouldn't matter if Amex does not see my old PRG card showing up, but its one thing to apply using an icognito window and have terms that specifically say once in a lifetime early, vs applying to an offer that is directly linked to my amex account that does not have any mention of the lifetime restriction and I am being told by CSR that I am elgible for that specific bonus offer. I think in the latter scenario I am on much stronger ground if they try to deny me. Also, I do not see the 50k PRg offer. The ones I have found will give you 50k for 2k spend, but they are specifically targetted. Using apps not targetted directly to you is a big no no with amex.

The standard offer for PRG is 50k points. You can get 25k points for 1k spend with the Green card to show up if you go incognito. So if you have already gotten the PRG bonus the green card is an option.

Hmm well that certainly could be an option since I never bothered getting the green card. Still the green card would be pretty much useless beyond the signup. At least with the PRG I have a chance of an upgrade to plat offer. Maybe they do that with the green card? Or maybe they would do an upgrade offer from green to prg then another offer prg to plat. I'm probably just dreaming that this could happen for me though.
