I started using my Amex card (Delta Gold) as soon as I got it to get the SUB of 60k miles with Delta, and I read that they were also offering a $50 statement credit if you also booked a Delta flight during the SUB period. We have a cruise in November, so I went ahead and booked the flight to FLL (the return trip I plan to pay for with points earned via the SUB) from IAD with my Amex. One day later, statement credit! Saved me around 20% for the flight. It is nearly addictive getting these deals. Haha.
