Re: Zync Changes already... REALLY AMEX

I haven't received anything, but after reading your post, I'm going to be on the look out for it. I really like my Zync card and I've been using it religiously since I got it a few months ago.

Re: Zync Changes already... REALLY AMEX

As ZYNC from American Express (SM) continues to evolve, we are always looking at
ways to refine the Packs we offer. The following changes will be made starting
September 10, 2010.

If you're currently enrolled in the Eco Pack:

We will no longer offer discounts when you redeem Membership Rewards (R)
points on select eco-friendly merchandise. You'll still enjoy 2X Membership
Rewards points when you shop at select green merchants and 1 point for all
other purchases. We recently added 25% more eligible merchants, so you now
have over 5,000 to choose from. You'll also continue to have access to the
    eco-concierge at Greenopia (R) .

If you're currently enrolled in the Connect Pack:

We will no longer offer discounts when you redeem Membership Rewards (R)
points on select mobile merchandise. You'll still enjoy double Membership
Rewards points on mobile phone, cable, broadband, and internet access
service charges, and 1 point for all other purchases.

You can add or cancel Packs anytime by visiting americanexpress.com/packstore or
calling (877) 209-5819. If you choose to cancel a Pack, we'll give you a
pro-rated refund for your annual Pack fee, based on a 12-month enrollment
period.

We hope you are enjoying the benefits of the ZYNC Card. If you would like to
provide input on existing Packs or have ideas for new Packs, please visit ZYNC
Tank (SM) at zynctank.com, an online community of Cardmembers, and help the ZYNC
Card evolve.

Re: Zync Changes already... REALLY AMEX

The only things being removed are the discounts in the Eco and Connect pack categories on redemption.

You still earn 2x the points when making purchases in those categories.

Not that big of a deal, if you ask me. I just have all the free packs, so the Eco pack was all that was affected for me. I don't plan to be doing much or any redemption on the green merchants, so this doesn't really hurt me at all.

Same here. These changes mean nothing to me.

Re: Zync Changes already... REALLY AMEX

this is true, after reading it again, won't really be effected, I was just shocked that so shortly after the product is introduced they were already making changes.  It's like the original Chase Freedom

Re: Zync Changes already... REALLY AMEX

Can someone share their experience on how did the discounts use to work, when redeeming?

I would like to see the impact of the change.
