Wow factor over card value... Huh.
Just showboat, as everyone not credit savvy would freak, or be impressed seeing something like this.

I would go as far to say that anything with a VISA or MASTERCARD logo has no wow factor. They're great for backup cards where AMEX or DISCOVER aren't accepted.
Perhaps it's because visa/mastercard has become generic regardless of design?
To give an idea here's how my new Cashmere leather wallet is arranged:
On the front:
Discover IT
Amex Blue Cash
Amex PRG
Amex Serve
Hidden in the back:
BOA
Barclays
Chase
PayPal

I think u might have cracked the code here. True Amex customers are not afraid to get FR. For example many people will app and get the PRG for a year and cancel. True Amex PRG users will likely pay the $195 AF for other purposes like having a NPSL and monthly balances without impacting FICO.

figured I was fine because the numbers aren't exposed
It's not particularly hard to get but there's a classic elegance to the Amex Platinum card (IMO)

I object to the poster posting a picture of me crying. It's very old, and it's nothing to do with the internet being mean to me, I was crying because Amex wouldn't give me a CLI because my income (10c a week allowance, well, I was three) was deemed insufficient.
