cashing out Chase points

Greetings -
New to points. Have amassed about 180K Chase points (CSR).

Would like to visit Morocco with my better half, ideally flying Royal Maroc to avoid a connecting flight.

Am I correct in thinking that the best way is to transfer the Chase points to an airline that's both a Chase partner and a OneWorld member? Anything else to it?

We live near DC, if that matters.

CNBC and Wikipedia say RAM may not fully join oneworld until mid-2020. Keep in mind booking partner flights can be a hassle even between longtime partners in an alliance.

Iberia is already a codeshare partner. You might try to find award space for the nonstop RAM flight on Iberia's website. Their partner booking process wasn't too byzantine last I checked.

If you do opt for a connecting flight, there seems to be a lot of traffic on Air France metal going IAD-CDG-CMN. Availability of inexpensive awards may be better there.
