I started my discover with 750 credit limit in Jan 2014 and I tried for CLI every 3 months for an year and only got an 250 increase after a year. Then I got an auto CLI of 4k in 15th month and there started my CLI train and I got 1k, 1.5K, 3k, 4.5k and 6k Increases every 1.5 to 2 months and now I'm at 21k CL which is my second highest. So it will grow eventually and patience is the virtue.

I love how "entitled" is being used so loosely here. This has been MY experience. I'm ok with going through the motions, if you will, with them if I have to. As I mentioned previously of my experience with other cards... I've stayed the course and they've grown with me as I hope this one will.
The majority of what I've done over the past 3 years has been a direct result of what I've found HERE.
I can be disgusted with them.... that much I am ENTITLED to

I think perhaps, some of us.... tend to forget that we all started somewhere and for many it was not at a 27k limit with discover, you grew to that, so there had to have been something in YOUR PROFILES that kept you from that to start out with.
Aside from the very straightforward and obviously bias remarks, the information that you guys have provided is worthy of note

Now THIS... is what I'm talk I talking about... while I don't expect my story to be this exactly, I'd like to see it at some point lol. I am patient. I had to be that way with ithers..

You absolutely do not need to close the account down, unless you are simply tired of dealing with it.
Now, it has long been noted on here that Discover's SL and CLI behavior is harder to predict than most. It has also long been noted that there seems to be a different response to certain customers (i.e. those given a $500 SL). Many have reported that it is like pulling teeth to move from this initial limit. Still, time and patience will win the day. So don't get discouraged...just stay the course!

I'm a little dissapointed with some of the responses to the op's situation.. There's a lack of apparent empathy, and the OP seems far from behaving "entitiled" to a CLI..
It seems like his ability to obtain and get approved for CLI's is in gridlock... Its fustrating, annoying, and can really get on your nerves, esp if you have done significent work on your credit profile...
That said..

Discovers 500$ approval.... is like Amex's.... When you originally apped.. there was something they didn't like.. and (this is an opinion mind you).. You just squeeked by on the approval... But... it really sounds like youve come a long way since... Know what your real scores are now?......Also how recently did you open it? You do have to wait a bit for your first CLI with Disco... Esp with the slightly iffy approval.. Some have said 90 days, some have said 6 mo....They dont believe in a CLI on opening...
Some options... Rinse and Repeat (use it heavy and PIF)..... If your score has significently changed... Perhaps im overlooking you mentioning it... Did they offer you a CLI with an HP?, If your scores are in the mid-high 700s... would it be worth cancelling card and reapplying in 30 days..... possibly less...
Another option.. could barely use the card and mostly SD it for a few months... And try again on the CLI with the button........
Id give it another year personally.. and if nothings moving.. Close it and reapp...t reminds me too much of a Cap One card that was bought out and not originally issued by Cap One... ....
Im starting to really be dissapointed in some folks around here.. Sometimes we all need some tough love but theres also a blame the victim here..
