This is only my opinion, and take it with a grain of salt, but I think just let things ride for 2 or 3 months. Use the card, but DO NOT go over the cl under any circumstances. That would be cause for denial for future cli's.

You are doing the right thing by using it, and pif'ing it...even if you have to do it a couple or 3 times/month.

One of the hardest lessons I learned was to be patient in this credit game. And believe you me, that's a hard thing for me to do!

Bamagirl, Go back and read original posters message...I believe she only received CLI after asking for it in-store. Take a trip over to Pennys and visit their customer service/credit department!

i think she called on phone and they told her for fraud purposes to take id in store, i just get frustrated bc i get keep getting the 4 month thing at least that's what the letters say and almost every month i've had it since sept it's been paid in full

yes called first and was adv to go to store to verify and try to get increase that way after verifying my identity--the rep I got noted the account that she advised me to go to store for indentity verification and advised they would review my limit and adjust after that

I've had a Penney's card for many years with a CL of $200, it was only this past Nov. I found out it had been raised to $400 when I pulled my CR. So generous. And I have done a ton of shopping there this last year, so I'm expecting platinum status any day now. Naw, I use it and PIF every time I use it, so it's actually a bit baffling why it's so low. Oh well.
