It's been so long since i checked my points/miles and i no longer have any of the branded credit cards to keep them alive. My alaska airline miles expires in 3 months, british airways in 1 month, southwest not sure if it expires, and hyatt in 4 months. anyone know how to keep these points alive? is the cheapest option to just buy something with the points or perhaps transfer over like chase points to hyatt? thanks! this is stressing me out....
How many points do you have in each of these loyalty programs? Just to confirm, you've closed your Alaska Airlines, Bristish Airways, Hyatt and Southwest credit cards, correct? No plans to travel anytime soon?

In the past, for things like American, I have bought something small using a merchant I use already in the American Airlines shopping portal, and it looks like Alaska and BA at least have something similar. This is assuming that any activity is enough to stop expiration.

thanks, i'll look into that. i wonder if i have enough time before the shopping portals post
Do you not have CSR or CSP? Those could send 1,000 UR to each of Southwest, BA, and Hyatt to count as "Points Activity" Same with any AMEX MR earning card for BA.
Alaska Airlines has their dining network, same network as the other big domestic airlines. You assign a credit card in the app, and when you use that credit card to dine at a restaurant in the network, you get a few miles sent to your Alaska account. Each credit card can only be in one Dining Network program at a time, but this works once you find one dining place you like, you could rotate and update Alaska, Delta, United and American if one wanted to.
If you have 3,000 Marriott points hanging around, you can transfer those to 1,000 Alaska miles or 1,000 Avios, or something similar for Southwest.
The simplest option is to just buy 1,000 points or miles in each program. Costs might be, what, $20 per, but with ~$500 of value in each program, this absolutely ensures they stay alive today, and you get points you will use later. Redeeming points always needs more points to redeem

Thanks! I only have 1000 or so UR points on my CSR, so im definitely too poor for that strategy T_T
oh yeah! I forgot about the alaska mileage dining thing. thanks for the reminder!
I might end up buying points at the last min if the mileage dining doesnt post to my account in time. thanks so so much!!!!!!
No Chase Freedom cards of any kind? If you have CSR, getting a CFU or CFF or both is highly recommended to earn more points.
If you do have CFF or CFU, those points can be transferred instantly to CSR.
when i spend with the credit card associated with the alaska mileage dining, how long does it take for those earned points to be transferred to my alaska miles account? thanks

It's been a while since I used the dining program, but I want to say it was within 30 days.
