Welcome to the forums!!!

You definitely need to hit the brakes on apps for at least a year and focus on getting the medical collections removed!! Util. is high as well, needs to be arund 1-9%.

Well, I can tell you the way I did it.  I kept a Chase visa & Citi Mastercard for 20 years keeping utilization low and never missing a payment.  If I had to guess (the veterans will also help), relax with the new cards and clean up the collections.  Best of luck Smiley Happy

+1 to the advice on cleaning up collections, that should help.    Also lowering your %util will make creditors less nervous about giving CLIs.    After you done this and gardened then I would focus on getting CLIs where you can from your existing creditors.

* Clean up that collections mess (7 collections?!)

* Get your utilization down

* Close Totoal, HSBC, and Orchard (to save money on AF).

+1 on trumpets advice, and also garden your accounts for at least a year.

Re: how i get better cards and higer limit

Man 45000 is tough. Ive been there several times ove the course of he past 20 years or so. Not sure if you have tried, but if any is hospital, many of them have internal programs where they will write off either the entire bill, or a good part of it. May be to late now since they are in collections, but i once had over 22,000 taken care of by my hospital. Many actually require a certain dollar amount be applied toward charity cases - and i sure was one then.

Just get your utilization way down. That will help, then just do what you can on the med bills.

My opinion only of course. Good luck with it all.
