Re: new reporting practices for Discover?

I'm not happy with the fact they haven't reported mine in a couple months. It Should be $30 and is 5 still saying $400!

Re: new reporting practices for Discover?

Maybe someone should just straight up ask them what the deal is... Hell, maybe I'll do it.  It seems like asking them to report what is currently on your account simply doesn't have that outcome.   I am pretty curious why these balances don't seem to line up and what they will/won't do to align them.  Oh, the many curiosities of credit card companies...

Card/Limit/Opened — Discover it: $27,600 2/14 | Chase Sapphire Preferred: $10,500 7/14 | Banana Republic Visa: $10,000 7/14 | USAA Cash Rewards Visa Signature: $9,000 6/11 | Chase Freedom: $2,000 3/12
History — AAoA: 42 months | Oldest account: 119 months (including AU) | Inquiries: 1 EX 0 EQ 0 TU | Score: 765 (Discover TU) 750 (USAA CreditCheck Monitoring EX FAKO)

EQ(FAKO) says my score went from (was750) to (now737)..

TU(08) Discover(was767)(now???)updates early this week or so

TU(CK-FAKO)(was 761) (???) will updates tuesday

grrrrrrrrr credit gods, bright side is Discover should update again on the 24 or so due to statement closing date. But 1 week before statement is ugly to update with me planning. Ill drown my sorrow in rum

Re: new reporting practices for Discover?

Discover always skip one reporting cycle whenever the CL changes. However, if they do report, they do it when the statement closes, not at the end of the month.

I opted for a voluntary CLD and my card did not report this month. I guess one could opt for a voluntary CLD of $1 each month and the card will pretty much never report again.

US bank seems to be the only company that reports at the end of each month.

JPMorgan Palladium (100k), AmEx Platinum (NPSL), AmEx SPG (46k), AmEx BCP (42k), Chase Sapphire Preferred (47k), Citi Prestige (31k), Citi Thank You Preferred (27k), Citi Executive AAdvantage (25k), JPMorgan Ritz-Carlton (21k), Merrill+ (15k), US Bank Cash+ (22.5k), Wells Fargo (12k), Bloomingdale’s (12.4k), Chase Freedom (5k), Discover IT (5k).

Interesting about the CLD. FWIW, I changed my paynent date a few months ago and it skipped a month too.

DCU reports the balance at the end of the month  too.
