Re: "Application under review" message

I app for a Chase Visa about 3 wks ago via pre-app offer called talked to  CSR she told me that I would know within 30 days that seems to be the norm for Chase these days. I waited about 1 week called the backdoor number got this message we will let you know of our decision in about 2 weeks.Cooled it another 2-3 days called the recon # talked with CSR in just a minute or so she approved the card for me. I approached them about the CLI in this way I needed a CC with 20K CL so that my util % would remain the same up to this point I have never asked for a specific Cl I accepted what they offered me. I don"t know if this will work every time but it did work for me this time.Insert Smileys

Re: "Application under review" message

I just called the backdoor number again this morning and they said it's still in the pending file for the manager to manually review.  I guess it's better then a denial.  I'm just dying to know.  I would be really surprised if I get it.  So we'll see.  It's been a week since I did the recon and I've called to backdoor number now 3 times to check on it.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

On the other hand I've been waiting almost 3 weeks for JFCU to approve my membership.  What is there problem?

Re: "Application under review" message

Let's say I do get the Chase Visa Platinum card with a $1000 limit. The card is supposed to have 0% APR for 12 months. When I call to activate and request a CLI, should I say something like

"I would really like to take advantage of the 0% APR and transfer the balances on my other cards to this card so that I can close out my sub-prime accounts BUT I need at least a $5000 limit in order to do this"

do you think they would go for it? I really am wanting to do this since my FP and Salute cards are almost to the point of an AF.

Re: "Application under review" message

well called chased back door # again today to follow up on the "recommendation." the rep said its a good thing you called because we needed to ask you a few more security questions. 3 questions later - Congrats you're approved for the $1000 limit and can expect your card in 7-10 days!

w00t!!! its a for sure now Smiley Very Happy

to repeat my question, when I activate the card, should I call the back door # again and request CLIs on both of my Chase cards? Or should I ask to combine the two and request CLI then so that I can take advantage of the APR and do some BTs?

Re: "Application under review" message

Congrats on your approval.  At least you finally know.  I'm still waiting.  Maybe I'll give them a call again today.

I would ask for a CLI all they can do is say no, as long as they don't do a hard pull
