target cc credit limit question

so it takes target forever to clear the pending transactions and it eats into the credit available. even though i don't have the credit available, can i order something since i found out that it takes target a bit to even send the items and charge the card? I was thinking that by the time target charges my card for the item, the pending charges would have fallen off, but im unsure of this. any target experts? thanks

Re: target cc credit limit question

I haven't noticed any longer delays than normal clearing pending transactions and for me they usually go to approve the card at time of order.

Re: target cc credit limit question

Most merchants will place an authorization hold at the time the order is placed which will cause your card to decline if the credit isn’t available.

As for prepaying a card, I’m not sure if this is possible with the Target card and the only lender I know that does allow for such is Amex. I’m sure there may be others but that is the only one I’m familiar with.

And with Amex I will add that the prepayment would have to be pushed from your bank account as their system won’t allow for such.

What's your cl?

Maybe calling this number could help, might get you considered (?) for an increase depending on certain factors like cl vs balance, income, overall spend.  Idk for sure but they have a section concerning cl (below) and a number to call.

Q: Who can I contact with questions about my credit limit?
A: Please call 1-800-424-6888

Re: target cc credit limit question

Does requesting a credit limit increase for the target credit card result in a hard pull?

I don't believe you can request a CLI for the target card. Had mine 6 years. They increase as they see fit.

That isn't an option @Anonymous.

Auto-CLIs are a hit or miss for a variety of accounts/profiles. Some have not received any for years while others get them periodically.

Also, the MC is by invitation, not something that can be requested.
