Re: what card to get next? and when to do it

Maybe a Chase card.  Have you done the  3x CLI on your BCE?  You've had it long enough

AMEX TrueEarnings 10K | AMEX BCE 10K | AMEX Hilton Honors 10K | AMEX Hilton Surpass 2K | Bank of America 1-2-3 2K | Barclay Card 2K | Chase Southwest Premier Visa 6K | Chase Marriott Premier Visa 9K | Discover IT Card 1.5K | Merrick Bank 1.4K | Navy Federal Credit Union Visa 10K | Navy Federal Credit Union navCheck 15K | USAA Rewards 7K |+ tons of store cards (GE furniture, Amazon, Lowes, Home Depot, etc)
Total amount of available credit $100K
Scores (as of December 2013) Equifax 714 | Experian 714 | Transunion 727
Short term goal is score 750+ across the board
Long term goal is to have all scores close to 800 or 800+

Re: what card to get next? and when to do it

I'd go for the Citi Dividend next. I find that the 5% categories don't overlap with Discover. When I had the Chase Freedom, I found that it frequently overlapped with my Discover, and I much preferred Discover's customer service. Whatever card you decide to go for, I'd wait at least 3 more months.

EDIT: What are you looking for in a card, ie low interest rate, rewards, etc?

Re: what card to get next? and when to do it

chase im pretty sure will deny me. as they have 2 months ago. so maybe 3 more months will suffice.

i tried the bce 3x they denied me. instead i got a 3x cli on my discover =)

i dont know if its a bad idea to try chase again. and citi hmmmm they did approve me.

I find it odd that you were declined for Chase but approved for AMEX. Do you have any baddies? How many inquiries do you have? What is your AAoA?

Re: what card to get next? and when to do it

no baddies. i ran a lot of money through my green card and was a member for 2 months with amex before being approved for bce

my aaoa is around 3 years but thats with student loans. without my credit history is since mid june of 2013.

also i have 3 inqueiries currently. due to a hp from discover the other day for the 3x cli.

is two months too soon to try again? or shall i wait more.

It's actually Barclays. And with an AAoA of 3 years and no baddies, I'm surprised Chase didn't approve you. What card did you app for?
