The rule does not apply to all co branded cards though as of yet. There are some that 5/24 apply to. There are data points floating around here that can help clarify which ones, also some people have had luck getting a Slate even though they were in 5/24 territory, but ymmv. The flagship cards line CSP and the freedoms definitely fall under 5/24.

As a clarification to the original question regarding 5/24:
Does this include ONLY credit card accounts? (not auto loans, other lines of credit)
Is it known if it also include Synchrony accounts like Amazon and Chevron?
Perhaps if you bank with Chase they would overlook the 5/24. Try applying in person.
