what is up with TU?

Yep. 3 months after the other bureaus removed inaccuracies, TU was still hanging on. 2 months after the actual information was removed, the amount of the debt was still showing as a ghostly remnant.

I hate to dispute balances, but I went ahead and disputed 2 balances on my TU report that were up to date on EX and EQ but not TU. Within 3 business days, TU updated the balances and backdated the update. It's as if they had received the data from USBank, but just didn't bother to update until I disputed.

In general, it seems like a bad idea to dispute balances, but this took me from over 90% utilization on that card down to < 50%.

TU was to last to update the fact that my student loan is now reporting, too. EQ and EX updated 2 days ago, but TU didn't update until this morning. It's interesting that they run a bit behind than the others.
