Because I hate carrying cash and debit cards don't get cashback.
I worry about money being stolen out of my back account, but its not a primary concern. I've had it happen before and Wells Fargo is very good about putting your money back within 24 hours. But it would be better just to avoid the issues all together.
Because I dig using other people's money for a month before actually paying for something even though I have the cash in the bank to make the purchase. The perks (points, miles, warranty addition and etc.) is just icing on the other people's money cake.
Most of my purchases are business related and could be put on net 30 accounts from many suppliers but even with an early pay discount the perks outweigh the cash off invoice amount. The BEST part is I only make a few payments per month (one for each card in use) as opposed to a ton of checks logged or debit card swipes.
The only reason why I would see anybody using a debit card is:
1. They're in chexsystem and can only get a prepaid debit card
2. They can't get a credit card because they can't open a bank account
I speak from past experience.
I use them mostly for rewards.

Do you have a debit card from PerkStreet? Still not worth it compared to credit card rewards/benefits/etc. 'Nuff_Said!

sigh. Fine. Here. rbfcu, affcu, hawaiiusafcu. Go nuts.
There are a few reasons why I use credit cards. For one thing, I can get cashback, points, miles etc. Secondly I can just leave my paycheck in my checking account and then pay before the statement cuts so I have no debt at all. Thirdly, I never have to worry about paying my bill because with my credit card it will go through with no issue (never been declined for anything as of yet.). And lastly, I use them responsiblt and I hardly carry cash, the only time I have cash is after my payment is cleared, I usually take out some cash and let my lenders report 0 to the bureau's and just not charge anything in the mean time. So yeah, at first I didnt want cards, but now I'm kind of glad I got a few. And it is easier to spread it all out as compared to just drawing it constantly away from your checking account.
