There's a highest credit card limit per card article from The Points Guy that credits MyFICO Forums for some of the data points.

Thanks for the tag, @Hex, and the link to the article! It's a good read since higher limits are an interest area of mine. It's possible some of the details were from one of my posts. I don't think I originated any content as much as I read and observed and learned through these web articles and the knowledge of the community passed along to me as I studied it.
Ironically, I think the article missed some much higher limits referenced in various My Fico data points. The article also doesn't differentiate between starting limits and upper established limits. And it probably doesn't focus enough on what it takes to get a very high limit. The article says, "(Besides FICO score), Issuers will also look at your income, monthly expenses, payment history and credit utilization. Your age and location can also be factors."
While those are all those are a consideration, I summarize it by saying high limits are profile specific and tend to favor those with either TIME ("age" in the above quote) and/or MONEY (high income; high assets invested; high level of business spend-and-pay.) While utilization and payment history as well as FICO score are important, they won't get you those high limits without one or both of the above.
For any one interested in reading some of my high-credit-limit observations, follow THIS LINK and then the follow-on links in the other threads.
Too bad they got it wrong. $80K is far from highest limit.

I know, right? It doesn't take much poking around on My Fico to find multiple reports of cards well into six figures with some of our members. There's even quite a few others in the $75K to $99K range, at or above that quoted highest limit.
That's one of the articles I read that brought me to this forum!
