$1 Experian score...

I was able to pull up my Experian score for $1 by logging into Experian.com and joining a 7-day promotion, which I will cancel at the end otherwise it boots me into one of their regular programs.  But if you want to see your report but don't want a monthly payment, I recommend throwing a buck at this site.

Re: $1 Experian score...

I didn't think they supplied you with a score, just a report.

They don't; which score was it, the new (ish, last few months) FICO they're pushing or the old educational score?

Actually they *do* supply you with a score, but FAKO rather than real FICO.

Through annualcreditreports.com?  Upsell option only not free, I should've been clearer, mea culpa Smiley Happy.

At least that's always been my experience over the past few years with the site, but admittedly I just decline everything beyond my base report access.

No. 7 day free trial of credit monitor through the credit report agency. Though I heard that there is a new law that make then include FICO score in the free anual report, and I think that will be a real FICO score (though not sure which version).

Re: $1 Experian score...

Where is everyone getting their scores from?  Is everyone paying for them through services or is there a place to get them for free.  I get the TU score from Barclays and Discover, the Experian from a 7-day trial and my Equifax from my Discover application, but two of those scores will be out of date shortly.  Starting to wonder if I'm just a cheapskate in not wanting to pay for my scores.

I do pay for myfico for credit alert, not necessarily for score, but I also get free score from Barlcays, Discover and Citi. Hopefully soon from PSECU and Chase at some point. I think it's fair to get score for free and it should be so. You don't have to feel bad.
