I just got a 3B Score alert this morning and it was a great moment. I immediately checked into my dashboard and wow!, I went over 700 Fico on my Equifax credit bureau! And all of this took place in less than a month.
12/22/2014 EQ 604 EX 612 TU 614
01/11/2015 EQ 688 EX 667 TU 622 (all fico 08 scores)
01/16/2015 EQ 707 EX 667 TU 622
UPDATE:
01/26/2015 My scores have jumped an incredible amount in 1 month. My Credit One cc has begun to report to the CRAs and my scores are well over 700!! EQ 735 EX 741 TU 730
And this doesn't take into account the decrease in my two cc that were at 89% and 76% that I paid off! and the medical collection that hasn't come off my Transunion credit bureau yet! So by the end of the month, I more than likely will be over 700 on all my cr.
Thank you to everyone on this forum for your knowledge, advice and consideration.
Excellent, congrats ![]()
Wow! That's fantastic.
That's awesome! Congrats!
Nice!
Nice work!
FYI, depending on what your next credit needs are, you're in a really strong position to get good products from DCU. They only pull EQ, and as long as your score is above 675 you can get their best rates on auto loans (around 1.49%). You'd probably also get a good rate on a new cc if you need one.

What is DCU? And you know what? I'm thinking about moving out of the NY/NJ area within the next year ad I'm gonna need a car. So, those rates are a fair cry from the 16% when I bought my first new car in 2001..Lol
I have looked at several credit cards to app for over the next month, and I really want t apply for just one; the Amex Everyday. Possibly the Chase Sapphire? I really am not sure, but I know that I want to join the Amex family. One, for the card, I like the rewards, and two, to signify my climbing out of the pit and no longer feeling like one of the "walking dead".
Thank all of you for your encouragement. My oldest sister is laughing at me because I'm excited like a kid before Christmas. I am just amazed by the results that have occured and in the time span that has happened. And for anyone reading this, know that you can do the same in your life and finances, it just will take time, energy, effort, patience and money. Put those together, focus in on what you want and it will happen. ![]()
Congratulations! That's awesome!!!
