Re: A little help please! Trying to raise my score.

No. I paid the account off and asked them to cancel it but they give you 90 days to change your mind - I am past that. If I knew then what I know now I would not have cancelled but that was before I found this website. I asked for a credit increase from Dell but they have to check your credit to do that, I cant have any inquires either. How badly would it hurt to have them do that and get the increase with the inquiry? Also, if I have a family member add me to one of their credit cards will that be an inquiry like applying for a card or will it just add revolving credit? I am not sure how that will effect my credit. Does anyone know how long it takes for a GW letter to go into effect?

Being added to someones acct. as an AU won't last long...doesn't count in  FICO 08.

You have to be patient w/ GW's they don't have to respond at all!  Just keep sending them until you get the answer you want!Smiley Wink

yes, and definitely make that big payment to the one high UT account. That should give you 5 pts easy. that is probably your safest bet.

i would get one of your family to put you on a cc.fico 08 is over rated. just have one of your fam put you one as a joint accounts. then when you buy the house, have them take you off. my dad has done this 4 me. just make sure the cc is at least 2 years old. and if it has a high cl, thats a plus
