I'm not sure if this is a change that happened recently or what, but Comenity just did a EQ HP a day after approving me for a CLI. ($24K -> $27K) 17 hours after approval.
I've requested (and been approved) quite a few times before now. I guess this is a heads up for those of you that are considering a CLI. I'm going to be laying off requesting from here on out. These cards are NOT worth a HP to me.
I'm not sure if this was due to the amount, or if this is now standard. Anyone else want to waste a HP to find out? ![]()
Before today, ALL Comenity CLI requests have been SPs for me. ![]()
Yeah... I'm not doing CLIs with them until I reach my card goals and close on a home next year. (Chase / Citi) I absolutely wouldn't have done a CLI yesterday had I known.
I guess chalk that up to my own stupidity in not checking here first. I wish they'd have some wording letting me know before hand. :/ Oh well.
At least it hit EQ and not EX... Still sucks.
@AlanGJP, I had not heard of this but appreciate you giving a heads up. I'm sorry about the unexpected HP and offer my best wishes on the house!

I hadn't either. I'll be checking before requesting from now on.
House is still about a year off, but thank you. (Waiting on prices to ease up a bit)

That would have been great if I'd seen it yesterday
. So another DP... I did a CLI on Good Sam (DW too - no HP) last week and received a SP... So apparently it's not for all cards. Might be some upper limit that triggers it?
Yes, it seems Comenity may be starting to HP for CLIs, though there's been mixed results with that. Some have reported HPs, while others have said it was only SP. No clear pattern yet.
