AMEX has changed to TransUnion

I made a payment on the AMEX website today. They must have stopped using Experian in the last few weeks. When I went to check my score I was re-directed to VantageScore 3.0 by TransUnion.

@Streetervillelady No they haven't.

If you click on Account Services, then on the "View FICO Score" tile you will still see your Experian FICO 8 score.

They use it for their credit monitoring program. They still use EX8. It's in the account services menu

You fell victim to a change they made last year, the link on each card's splash page now redirects you to view your TU Vantage score.

 Others have already shown where AMEX relocated the link to display your current and historical FICO 8 scores.

(5/2025)
FICO 8 (EX) 850 (TU) 850 (EQ) 850
FICO 9 (EX) 850 (TU) 850 (EQ) 850

Lol.  Mine "flashes" VIew Fico Score for 1/10 sec then switches to view credit score.

If I __HAPPEN_ to click it before it changes (do you realize how many times I had to reload the page to be successful at that?) i get my fico score.  Otherwise it sends me to the TU junk.

Thankfully the ios app still prominently says FICO on the menu.

Hi @Anonymous  That's just what I did (laptop).  Site gets weird, my Gold Card image changes color, re-directs  to 'American Express | My Credit Guide' by TU.

OMG, you're right! I never noticed how quickly it switches from View FICO Score to View Credit Score. Did they do that on purpose? If so, that's lame.

But yes, @Streetervillelady , the link to the FICO score is stable on the mobile app. If that's not an option for you, try positioning your mouse in the place where View Credit Score is, then refresh the page with a keystroke (F5 on Windows) and rlyquicklyclick whatever appears there as soon as it appears. If you time it right, you win a FICO score! It's part carnival game, part credit maintenance. Hooray!

You can go to Account Services>Profile and scroll to the bottom of the info. There's a normal link there. That's actually where you initially had to go when they started pushing people to the VantageScore. It seems you're one of the few still affected. You could try deleting the cookies or clearing the cache to see if it goes away. Or, just go the route I just showed you.

@Brian_Earl_Spilner Thank you kind Sir.  The profile route worked.
