Amex reporting

I'm not complaining but I was approved for the Amex Blue and Blue Cash Preferred on April 18th last month. These new accounts have not been reported on my credit reports yet. I've used both cards with no issues.

The question is, has anyone had a similar experience? Seems odd. I thought the accounts would be listed on my credit reports.

@Eighthundredbound American Express accounts do not report to the credit bureaus until the second Statement Closing date.

Re: Amex reporting

It's actually a really useful policy, because it means you don't take the 3 month score hit you get with a brand new account. When they report, it's already past the worst phase of a new account.
