Not to mention if the qualifying military person is deceased. That's what stunned me --my father, who died in 1980, qualified me.
+1
This was exactly my particular situation as well ( as I know you are fully aware Hauling ). My mother, as is your mother, are current annuitants of the DOD for their husbands long and dedicated service to our country. May they both rest in peace.

Nice job, plasticman!
Congrats to all of you on your memberships!

Can't believe it --my membership packet arrived today. With morning mail delivery, that means it was here within 36 hours of the phone app. Amazing!
Wow! Now that's what I call service!

This is great Hauling.
You may notice the application is not specific to your type of qualifying situation. When you fill it out there should be a place ( albeit small ), on the first page of the application, for you to write in that your mother is a current annuitant from the DOD as a result of your fathers retirement. I did this to be clear on the application what qualified me.

This is excellent.
Hauling started a new thread, regarding NFCU products, on the CC board today you may want to review when you have a moment.

Good suggestion! I'll get my eensiest printing out and put this in the blank for "Family Status Access No.", I guess.
Hauling,
I forget exactly where on the first page I inserted this information. However, it is on the first page in the top section. If memory serves me correctly, you are exactly right in terms of where to insert this information, as there is no other place on the application to do so.
