Any explanations ?

All scores are from my fico ! I have a 649 with Experian...........614 with EQ.............Both reports contain the same accounts and info. Why is EQ so much lower ? Both reports are collection and judgement free. Utilization is at 26%. One 30 day late being reported.

I'am trying to get to 700 in 3 to 6 months. I did the fico simulation with the EQ score and simulated paying down the utilization to zero within three months and it gave me a range of 687-723. Does that really mean that I could get to 700 in that time frame. Trying for a mortgage soon. Thanks

I've seen people do more in less. 700 in 3-6 months is possible.

Try GW on the late. If it's recent, it can cost you upwards of 100 points.

Thanks for the advice. I already tried a GW and that didn't work. Im guessing that the one late payment is really hurting my score because I would think with no other derogs or negative remarks my scores would be much higher. I have one 30 day late with capital one and honest to god, my payment was really lost in the mail. But they won't budge ! Why would they anyway?They benefit more from my score being lower.

Was your GW letter sent to the generic address to no one specific? That used to be my approach, but a number of folks on CIC have convinced me to change tactics or at least consider a broader arsenal of weaponry. Now I try GW to executives. And Email has been advocated strongly. Several have reported quick success Emailing execs.
