Re: Anyway or Company that can Remove Hard Inquiry even if it was Authorized ?

The company that originally made the hard inquiry can recode it as a soft inquiry but that's unlikely to happen unless it was an error or they made duplicate inquiries.

If a inquiry is truly authorized then it will only be removed after 2 years. There are no ways to get around it. The only way to remove it early is to convince the bank and that is highly unlikely as they are very strict about it.

Re: Anyway or Company that can Remove Hard Inquiry even if it was Authorized ?

Last year when I was still rebuilding, I applied for a Children's Place card trying to use the shopping cart trick and was denied. Before I knew I was denied, I called and asked about the status of my app and they told me sorry, but they couldn't approve. The lady then went on to tell me that if I wrote a letter to them, saying that I was mis-informed about applying for the card, that they would remove the hard inquiry for me. I never actually did it because I totally forgot (and it's off my reports now), but I guess some banks are willing to do it if you get the right person!

I think I've found the sacred map that may lead me to this garden everyone keeps talking about.
