In addition to aforementioned annualcreditreport.com, there is:
Experian gives you free daily report with daily FICO 8 update. It updates every day, and it's free. Hard to complain about that.
(2) https://my.equifax.com/membercenter/#/login
Equifax will give you one free report and Vantage 3.0 score monthly.
(3) https://service.transunion.com/dss/login.page
Transunion currently gives you one free copy of your credit report every 24 hours. If you want a score, you can buy a Vantage 3.0 score for 99 cents.
This website offers free monthly Equifax reports including a Free Equifax FICO 8 score each month.
All of those are excellent options, and they are all completely free.
I personally take advantage of all of these free options, and I recommend you to do the same.

Is there anything in particular that you are trying to find out?
Generally you want to look for any accounts that you don't recognize, that could be an indicator of identity theft. Also look for any accounts reporting late payments that may be incorrectly reported.
Perhaps others will chime in with things that would suggest checking.
I want to see anything negative. Lowes canceled a card, then apologized and reinstated and I want to make sure they took off any negative

So what's holding you back? Go check now at myFICO. You already have an account, because you're posting here.
The report is easy to read. They put a red icon next to any negative account and a green one next to any positive account. As I mentioned, it's very easy.

Generally closing an account is not a "negative" whether closed by the cardholder or grantor. If you're carrying balances on other cards then losing the credit limit on the closed card can increase your overall utilization percentage which can lower your score. If you're not carrying balances, then that's not an issue. Closed accounts stay on your report for aging purposes for 10 years, so even if it was your oldest account, it should not affect your aging metrics until then.
I hate monthly payments, they never seem to be much but they add up. The cheapest plan MyFico has is $20. I downloaded all three reports from the above site but like I said, the shortest report we 80+ pages
