No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Hello,
I'm wondering if any of the fico geniuses here can think of unseen disadvantages to enrolling into this program. I've read the fine print in the "Service Agreement and Electronic Disclosure" the takeaway is that BoA not only has monthly access to your fico score through TU but also can pull 12 months of history.
Could this potentially backfire for a customer wanting a new CC or a CLI? Could this somehow prevent an auto CLI?
I'm happy to link to the agreement if anyone wants to see it and if it doesn't go against forum rules.
Thanks for your thoughts.
I'd like to see the link you mention.
I'm also curious whether you are talking about the free FICO that BOA supplies you if you have a credit card with them. If so, they can already see a lot more than 12 months. They can see the balance you had each month for many of your credit cards (including ones from issuers other than BOA) and can see this further back than 12 months. They can see what your credit limits are. They can see in some cases how much you paid each month (again, further back than 12 months).
They can do all this because they are one of your creditors and can pull your report as a soft pull as often as they like.
Thank you, I think you've just answered my question. I didn't realize creditors had full access to reports and our passed accounts history. I was under the false impression that a HP only revealed a FICO score and perhaps current accounts.
If in fact they have the eye of Sauron, it makes no difference, I might as well enjoy the free BoA (TU) scores.
Here are the links.

Thanks again for the response.
I highly approve of your reference to the Lidless Eye:
"And suddenly he felt the Eye. There was an eye in the Dark Tower that did not sleep. He knew that it had become aware of his gaze. A fierce eager will was there. It leaped towards him; almost like a finger he felt it, searching for him. Very soon it would nail him down, know just exactly where he was."
That really does sound like a big CC company, right?

Perfect Quote.
The question is can we wield the power of the credit ring or should we all be making our way to mount Doom.
