DOH! I just DOUBLE checked my bank acct. activity with Chase.

When I went into account maintenance, it says as plain as day "delivery method: mail, 5 days"! Uggghhhhh. MAIL? wut's up with that. And my payment to them is due tomorrow. Double uggghhh. If they don't get my payment posted tonight to my acct. I'm going to have to pay them again(this time through THEIR billpay system).

I guess I'll start paying my BoA bills via their billpay system. At least there's no charge for that.

Just as a side note, BoA payment is the ONLY one that is mailed. Even my electrical bill is transmitted electronically. And nothing beyond a 2 day delivery.

Considering when you initiated the payment through Chase, BoA should have it in their hands by tomorrow if they don't already.  Since today is a banking holiday, it may be a few more days to see it post if it isn't already in process.  The BillPay service through Chase should stand behind you if BoA charges you a late fee.

Thanks for the comment denbar. Mucho appreciated.

But I will not allow a late fee to occur. Even if it means paying BoA tomorrow. After all the worse that can happen, is have a credit amount show up on the next statement. And perhaps not even that, if I charge on it. I'm going to do everything in my power to keep this card spotless clean, from the get go.

Did your payment post yet?  I have seen CC payments post on Sunday night ... so it might not be too early to find out.

Morning denbar. Haven't checked yet. I'll do it now.

My drop dead cut off time to pay them...again, if needed is 2pm EST.

Ok, problem solved. I'm so embarrassed, I could crawl in a hole and hide for a few days.

To be honest, when I originally set up BoA as a payee, I entered the incorrect cc number. As careful as I am about entering, then checking, then double checking, I transposed 2 numbers.

Of course BoA didn't have any record of the payment to my account! I put a stop payment on the original payment to them, made another payment directly with BoA, for the balance I didn't originally pay, and corrected the account number. Phew. what a waste of time for me, for hurrying through the original process of adding them. Someday when I grow up, I'll learn to be more careful. lol.

Why did it take them 5 days to clear my payment?  I do not think this is fair.  It's almost like they can process a payment whenever they choose to.

LaRaza ... we  seem to have lost track of you in this thread. 
 
Were you able to find out anything from customer service about the delay in processing and posting your payment? 

Were you able to get the late payment fee waived? 
 
Did yours end up being a check that was mailed instead of an electronic transfer ... as JuliaTN and Sylviatob have experienced?

I'm glad you stayed on top of it and got it resolved. 
 
It would still be nice if getting back into the Chase payee setup was easier and you could more easily confirm (later) that you had the number entered correctly.  In the past, I submitted my feedback on that ... but I'm not holding my breath that they will drag that out of the hole it seems to be in.
 
Have you checked with Chase to find out why the payments to BoA aren't going through electronically instead of having to print and mail a check?
