CC Charge Off/ CA?

Dumb question. If a CCC marks account charged off, should it show a zero balance? (I'm thinking yes, but then, I could be wrong)

I did not want to start work on DH's reports, but just found a receipt in my lingerie drawer for a CA he paid to BoA. BoA is reporting a balance.

Another CA recently popped up on his reports trying to collect the same debt. I know DV the current CA. Was just wondering about the balance from BoA since it was paid to CA.

I am also waiting on bank statements for the year he was in Iraq. He paid off alot of his bills, but unfortunately he is not sure to who and for what. (All debt is from a previous marriage. So, I am lost as well)

Everything is past SOL and very close to CRTP. I was hoping to just ignore it for a year, but know better now from reading here. Smiley Tongue  They are going to keep digging skeleton's out of his closet. We can't be trying for a mortgage with this popping up.

Thanks for my support team, I'm going to need you guys greatly for the next few months it seems!!

Anything that is close to CRTP  let it drop.  you can not do anything about CAs showing up out of the blue. They sell accounts everyday back & forth.....just keep an eye on your reports and if 1 shows up  mail a DV right away & in it also tell them that they are well past SOL and CRTP....always report them to their & your AGs office and the FTC
