A common problem, Im sure, but I lapsed a traffic ticket that went into the infamous "GC Collection Services". (Ive been working a lot of overtime for an unforgiving boss!)

GC will usually let you make payments. If it isn't reporting--even if it is--you need to get on that quickly. Most CA courts will suspend your license in a heartbeat for an unpaid ticket.
