Can I write a cease and desist to the orignal creditor?

We are late paying our car payment but it has not been 30 days yet and the original creditor calls nonstop all day long to my work number, then to my house number, and then to my husband's cell phone.  Is there anyway I can write them a cease and desist letter or is that only for collection agencies?

I do not believe so. Original creditors are not subjected to the FDCPA. However, you may fire out a CD to the collection agency.

in most states it would fall under harassment and be punishable.

You can certainly tell them to quit calling you at work. Have them call you at home or else...demed has a good idea.
