Cancelled TC / Signed up for ChaseIDProtection.

I called and cancelled TrueCredit. I guess it did a good job helping me keep tracking of my credit for last 12 months. It is time to move on with new service. I signed up with ChaseIDProection which is faster and cheaper then TC.

There are $10 TC deals out there BTW. I use Chase myself and I miss the clarity of the TC reports. I do not like the layout of Chase but its my only choice. Good for monitoring ID theft and for watching TL's update.

How long did it take you to update toward the end? I remember ashabbir1 posting that it took 20 minutes for his reports to update, because he had so many accounts, open and closed, lol.

Mine take longer now also, but certainly not 20 minutes.

My first access is very quick. I'll try the update tonight and see how long it will take.

I guess I really scored with PrivacyMatters. I got that $30/year deal last year and it's worked well. An added benefit is that they never actually charged me, so I've had free reports for the last 10 months or so Smiley Happy

I went with PM too. Got the same great yearly deal. But Chase, TC, Walmart, National City and there are some others that also share the TC engine. They are more or less all TC just branded with other names and slightly different interfaces. The easy give away is the pull every 24 hr and 1 min. Sometimes you can even log in at different companies sites with the same user name and pass since some of them are the exact same thing just branded logos of TC. Smiley Wink

Re: Cancelled TC / Signed up for ChaseIDProtection.

IMO Chase ID protection reports are hard to read and I've seen instances where an account would update on TC but not on Chase ID. I am still in my trial period and I've called to cancel 5 times but each time they keep telling me they can't find my account in their system even though I gave them an account number. Very frustrating! I had TC for $14.95. cancelled and then signed back up the next day via a link I found online for $9.95. So it's even cheaper that Chase ID protection. Besides the ads on TC, it's a good product and the reports are easy to read. I've read the gazillion posts on here about people having problems updating their reports on TC, no such experience for me yet.

I think that's TC way of getting rid of people they feel that over use there service. i feel like why tell a person you can pull there CR every 24 hours an then block them. I've had TC for about a week no problems so far i'm only gonna pull my reports 3 times a week.
