Re: Cancelling True Credit...

Perhaps but it works better than EQ Gold in terms of performance and frankly the EX based products suck. It was interesting to me the the CSR made no attempt to offer me a deal to stay. LOL I guess I souldnt have mentioned I was going to use Zendough. To bad MYFICO doesn't offer a Tri-CRA monitoring program and provide the dteials that TC/Zendough does in terms of reporting dates. Through in all the softs and I'm there.

Re: Cancelling True Credit...

FYI:  True Credit uses the same scoring model they provide to Credit Karma.  Therefore, TC is a complete waste of money...expecially since it's no FICO score.

Not exactly.

It depends on which TC product you have.  If you have their 3-bureau product, the score you receive is the Vantage score and not the same as TU furnishes CreditKarma.

I am going to check out Zendough next month.

I looked into it. From what I gather, for the same price as TC now (I think at $14.95), you only get to pull all 3 reports every 3 months and you can only update TU every month, versus everyday. In turn, they give you a decent looking report format and added some more alert services, similar to TUQM's offering.

TC was such an awesome product. I miss the days of pulling all 3 daily.

TC still allows me daily TU Change Report pulls and all 3 every 30 days.  So maybe new customers get a different deal?

The only reason I have kept TC is because of it telling me the exact date an account is updated....both month and day.

Re: Cancelling True Credit...

If TC still allowed daily 3 pulls I would still be a customer. AMEX and USAA have daily 3 pulls at only $4 more than TC prices

Starting Score: 690
Current Score: 747
Goal Score: 750

Re: Cancelling True Credit...

USAA has lower price than TC, I thought?

I had heard the USAA daily was $12.95.  Has the price changed?

Has anyone used the AmEx Credit Secure? If so, how do you like it?

It hasn't changed.  It's slightly under $13 for 3-bureau daily pull.

Re: Cancelling True Credit...

I know for a fact that the EX-based service through American Express (CreditSecure) does NOT update reports daily --more like weekly. And that includes Experian.

Since the USAA product is also Experian-based, I'm skeptical that it's a genuine daily refresher, even if we can pull reports every day.

For me these days, weekly updates would probably be enough. But like llecs, I miss the days of TrueCredit allowing all three reports to be genuinely refreshed daily. And I remember posts back in the day whining about having to wait 24 hours + 1 minute to pull again! Smiley Very Happy
