I am so glad I opened my check acct before they had chexsystems or things like that. When I was much younger I bounced a couple of checks- I can't imagine what they would do to my credit history today.
However, as much of us have said earlier, unless you plan to use overdraft ins. which is ridiculous to plan on using anyway if you are in control of your finances- banks should look at us as investors- as it is our money they are using to get interest off of and use for their loans.
