CitiFinancial Question

Are they considered one of the lenders that will depress a FICO score?  I keep getting offers from them for  loan and need an installment loan on my report.

Re: CitiFinancial Question

I was told that if "Financial" is in their name, they're on the tacky list.

So Wells Fargo is OK, Wells Fargo Financial is not, and so forth.

Re: CitiFinancial Question

Be sure to ask them how they're going to code it. That's what makes me so crazy about this issue.

Yes, this is one of those sub-prime CFLs but for it to report as such the proper coding would be required. Your plan to work with a CU is smart.
