I recently had a collection removed from my credit report(s) that was placed on in June. When it posted, my score dropped 53 pts from 686 to 653. I contacted them, paid the account in full, and they agreed to 'delete' it from my credit report(s). Well I expected my score to increase some when it was removed. Not necessarily the 53 pts that it dropped, but at least half of that, but it didn't change at all. I don't understand this. Does anyone know the explanation of this??? Thanks for any help!!
