Hello everyone,
So, while on a credit-investigating kick today, I took a closer look at my EX report that I had pulled in December. I noticed that near the bottom, in the addresses section, I have a note reading, "This address has been associated with fraud."
Now, this is probably true--because it is the address where I received my college mail when I was in the dorms, and is associated with 1,500 people every year.
So, my two questions:
1) If I contact EX, is this something I could conceivably have removed, as it has nothing to do with my personal credit risk?
2) Is it worth trying, or is this something that is not a big deal?
Thanks!
To answer both your questions, [YES]. Give Experian a call and tell them why and if you can file a dispute to have it removed. You should be able to do both on one call...
