Confused!!!!!!!!

I read credit scoring 101 and am still confused. I was out of a job for a long time and decided to focus on school so i wasn't able to pay my bills. I received some settlement offers and paid about three of them. Will paying these the settlement offers help my credit score? Should i continue paying them? Please help.

Welcome to the forums Terebe.

Maybe you could post which item you would like to work on next, to see which direction to get you started in.

The 3 you paid already, you can write GW (good will) letter's for to see if they will delete them now that they are paid.

Paid or unpaid collections will count against you the same. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to offer PFD's to remove the remaining items, if you are ready to pay them.

The ones that you accepted settlement on, was it a payment agreement that you are still honoring or did you just pay a lump sum and pay them off?

While unpaid vs paid collections may not make a difference in your score, paid certainly looks better during a manual review.

As the other responder said, if you'd mention what you have remaining and the dates/details associated with the accounts, we could help you figure out the next step.
