All,
Does anyone have a good grasp of what this company does? Based on my limited knowledge, they seem to be a "Data Mining and Analytical" company which in turn shares the information to the likes of banks and other financial institutions. The reason why I ask is I pulled a Transunion report on Annualcreditreport.com and they look like they've been digging for information for the past 7 years or so. Thank you in advance for your input. Cheers.

Thanks @rbentley. Come to think of it, I do recall them doing an HP when I got my mortgage at Wells Fargo.
CoreLogic is not a lender. Lenders pull credit and other types of reports. Most if not all of that information is taken from credit data returned by whichever credit bureau(s) were pulled.
Unfortunately, Data mining and the sale of data, has become a thing. (or should I say larger thing)
It probably is not going to get any better. I can't even Imagine what Google has on us.
I can understand what an Alternative Credit Inquiry may entail but could someone explain what a Cash Advance Inquiry covers (what market products or lenders, for example)?
My definition of a cash advance inquirry would be like a payday loan, auto title loan etc. Alternative credit an example could be if you renting an apartment etc that does not report to the credit bureau.

I can't think of any Alternative credit that I applied for in the past 7 years. I refinanced my car loan last year and there were 2 Credit Union HP's and a Wells Fargo HP, that's all I can think of. I did open 2 credit cards earlier this year(2 Citi 1 Chase), but that's about it. It could have been an inquiry from Progessive Insurance for my home insurance.
