3.  Make a request to the CRA for a full copy of your current credit file to the CRA under FCRA 609(a)(1) for "All information in the consumer file at the time of the request"  This request, while the most complete,. requires a fee of $10.50 under FCRA 612(f).

Is this different then the information I received when I ordered and received my CR by mail.? Sounds like it is but I wanted to make sure before I spent another $10.50. X 3.

Try ordering them for free via annualcreditreport.com. You can do so for free for each once a year. Or if you have an EX product like CCT, you can get the EX report for free or for TU if you have a TU product like TrueCredit (certainly would not recommend subscribing for $15 per month just to get a free report).

You can alse get a report directly from the CRA for free if you were denied for credit within the past 60 days, and there are links for that from each CRA. And you can also get each for free if you suspect fraud, but doing so could lead to a fraud alert on all 3.

Otherwise, each report is around $10. I recommend ordering all 3 directly from the CRA before starting any repair. Also recommend ordering all 3 quarterly. These reports include info that you can't find anywhere else and includes soft inquiries, better contact info, demographic info (shows past addresses used on apps - good if you suspect fraud), more history, and baddie drop off dates on TU and EX only.

I did order them directly from the CRA by mail because wanted all the information I could get.my question is this . Did I actually get all the information I could get or do I have to specifically ask for all information in my file at the time of my request

They will mail you the entire report. You are good to go. FYI, you can get the same info online as you can via mail. Some have reported incomplete reports though by requesting it online, however, I do get them monthly via the web and never had any problems.
