I just cancelled my Credit Karma account! Every since the Intuit takeover my info wasn't updated and their twitter is just about taxes. I tried messaging them and nothing. I liked their service before, but I think it will fall off at least until they get things situated. I only need one service anyway and MYFICO is rockin it! Good riddance Karma...

Umm, you know that was announced last week, right?
I doubt anything more than executive discussions (and beer laden stock parties) has happened at CK since then.
But, I'm not against closing CK accounts.

I haven't had any issues. If you're gonna rely on myfico for your updates, you're in for a rude awakening. It's notorious for being the last place to send an alert.

So true!!

Yeah, the acquisition was just announced last week so the merger won't happen until probably the fall. My CK works fine, and I'll keep the account. But I have been using Intuit TurboTax free edition for taxes and will switch to a tax service next year to one that is not Intuit. I just don't like the idea of the same company having all my credit + income/tax info, the reason I never used CK's tax service.

A little perspective here. This merger hasn't happened yet...it was announced. It's been in the works for a long time & it'll be a while until it's complete. Since this was only announced 7 days ago & CK only soft pulls you once every 7 days you likely wouldn't see any updates, or any significant updates, at all. Not sure 7 days is enough time to make the jump to CK dropping the ball...
I'll be cancelling mine at some point here soon for my own reasons but, with all due respect, your reasoning is off & appears you don't fully understand CK's updating cycle.
To each his own...

+100
There's approval to go through. I haven't had issues, but you need to do what's right for you. CK was free and good for what it's good for. Any service will eventually have issues.
Yeah guys, it was just a personal choice. The reasons I gave wasn't really it, but with so many people having all their info online, I'm trying to cut back so to speak on my online footprint. I had a lot of info on KC and if It ever were comprimised I'd be fubar-ed. I like to change up at times and maybe another company is out there like Karma!

If you have never tried Mint I would highly recommend giving it a whirl. I applied online with my CU for my mortgage refi on Sunday night and Mint emailed me about the HP like the second I hit the OK button. As I'm typing this I just realized that Intuit owns Mint so maybe that won't be your cup of tea either haha.

So why believe anything you've written or will write?
You take the time to start a thread disparaging a company and then shrug it off, saying "yeah, nah, just funnin'"?
