Credit Secure Key change?

Hey everyone,

So i have this service called CreditSecure though my Amex card, and today it popped up with a key change alert for today's date. This surprised me, as my credit has been frozen for over 6 months.

I looked into it, and apparently the alert is for "Potentially Negative Information or a Lost/Stolen Card" on a Chase account. I Immediately called Chase, to see what was going on. I spoke to a lady on the executive line, she scoured my accounts and she told me that both of my Chase accounts are in good standing with no late payments for the length of the time I've had accounts with them, and that there were absolutely no issues on their end. I have not reported any card stolen/lost with them, but did recieve a new card in March when I downgraded from the CSR to the CSP.

I'm wondering what might have happened to trigger this. Has anyone had experience with this before?

Re: Credit Secure Key change?

update:

After further investigation, it is from an account I closed with Chase a while back (Ritz Carlton). I paid off the balance in full and closed it, but I guess there were other transactions and fees that didn't get included in that amount, and I ended up owing 22 dollars.

This sucks, now my credit score is going to take a dive due to this 30 day late.
