Re: Credit monitoring services ?

is TU TrueCredit still existing? From what I can see, TU is only offering 3-Bureau Credit Monitoring for 16.95/mo.

I became a trial member and apparantly you get the TU report and their FAKO score, which can be refreshed every 24 hours + credit alerts from the other 2 CBs.

To actually get the report from the other 2 CBs you have to pay 29.95 each time you pull their reports??

Can someone clarify this for me please. Thanks.

Sounds right, though I think you can still get all 3 reports 1x/month. At one point you used to be able to pull all 3 reports daily at $15/mo. Gone are those days. Smiley Sad

Re: Credit monitoring services ?

I am a current True Credit user and you get daily TU pulls and every 30 days you can get all 3 CRs as part of the membership cost.  A very good deal.

Re: Credit monitoring services ?

I was using credit.com, creditkarma, and credit sesame.  I am forever dissapointed.  The scores are WAY lower than my FICO scores and I really dont need that. :-/

That's because they're FAKO Smiley Tongue In my opinion CK and CS are great for a free way to monitor when accounts report, or inquiries and stuff like that, but other than that they're not really that great.

Re: Credit monitoring services ?

Quartly monitoring (4.95/month), and CK..   I used to pay for Scorewatch, but realized I was throwing money away, and wasting life on checking my reports/scores 3 times a day...  Now, I get a report and score every three months, and update my CK account every 2 weeks.  Much less stress...

Re: Credit monitoring services ?

I have to agree there is something wrong with checking credit every day like i do.   I dropped 23 points because I maced out a CC and credit karma picked it up.  I have to pay that down  again, but not sure how long it will take for it to go back up.  At least that part is in my control. and I know the score will go up once I pay it down.  Smiley Happy
