CreditUturn App Question

Hello Everyone,

Has anyone heard or used of CreditUturn app? There are about 500+ downloads in the google store but no reviews on it. Does anyone know if it's a scam? Supposedly it's a free app that will help repair credit by sending out dispute letters on your behalf. Read about it on CK where someone said it helped them remove negative marks from their CR. Sounds too good to be true... Any thoughts/experience?

Thanks in advance!

Sounded sketchy to me too. Couldn't find any reviews on it on internet either.

Re: CreditUturn App Question

Be leery of those services. A friend of mine started her re-build by using a service that sent out tons of dispute letters on her behalf. Unfortunately, they woke up a sleeping giant who referred her account to an attorney with less than 6 months left on the SOL.

My 2¢:

You would be much better off doing the work yourself...  not only can you ensure items are properly dealt with so not to cause additional harm, but you'll learn so much more in the process and become much more appreciative of your credit.  If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Good luck.

Re: CreditUturn App Question

All my baddies are paid and due to fall off this year so I'm just gonna wait.

The only thing I'm worried about is student loans that show tons of late payments from about 6 and a half years ago.  I am currently paying them off on time and have been good since 2015. However, I read somewhere that late payments will be repirted unless I comletely pay off the loans. I still got about 4 years to go to comletely pay off my student loans and it would really s@ck if those late payments will still stay on for another 4 years. The lenders that reported late payments no longer even have my loans as I've been transferred to another lender. Experian no longer shows those late payments but Equifax and TransUnion do. I really hope that they'll stop soon too since it's been almost 7 years now.

So the loans with the late payments are closed in good standing with zero balances?  Is that correct?

Re: CreditUturn App Question

Yes, that's what I've been doing all along. This forum has tons of useful info that helped me out on my rebuilding journey.

I thought so too. If it's too good to be true, it probably us!

Thank you. 😊

Re: CreditUturn App Question

My loans were with US Dept of Education and then they were transferred to Aspire in 2013. Some not so good things happened and I never made even one payment to Aspire. After about 9 month Aspire closed my account and now it shows 0 balance but also shows 9 lates and a comment - loan assigned to government. I went through rehab program in late 2014 early 2015 and have been paying everything on time since then but I still got 4 years to go to pay entire amount off. Do you think Aspire will fall of this year? My first showing late payment with Aspire was in July of 2013 and last was in March of 2014. Currently my loan is with Great Lakes Borrowers Service.

Thank you!
