I paid my Citi card down significantly prior to the close date of May 6. Without thinking, I ordered a replacement card on May 6, which changed the account number. The paid down balance is still not showing on my paid monitoring through Experian. I am stressing that it is taking longer than I recall in the past...mainly because I am hoping that the new card/account number didn't stop the close date posting. One of my other accounts took 10 days to update from their reporting date..but seems like Citi is usually only 1-3 days?
I could definitely be wrong but I think it has to do with the pandemic. My Citi CC account hasn't updated since March. It should have update April and May already but nothing. I called a couple of weeks ago and the first rep told me that they are not reporting balances during this time unless specifically requested. I had to get off the phone due to my kids acting crazy but when I called back, I got a different rep of course and she had no clue of this and said everything is reporting as normal. I told her no it's not because I havent seen an update in 2 months. She went to ask a supervisor and they said the second thing she said.
So I don't know. I've paid down my balance significantly and could really use the update!
Thank you. It doesn't make much sense that they would not be updating balances. I paid mine down from 94% to 0% but then got a finance charge. I need it to update for a mortgage app. Trying to decide if I should call/send an email, or wait patiently a few more days? My citi did update for April. I just don't remember it taking over 6 days to update in the past...but I don't usually watch it, only when I need to apply for credit.
I just posted about this exact same thing on another credit forum. I had the same issue with Wells Fargo last month (took them 2 weeks and that was only after I disputed the balance with the CRAs).
And now Capital One appears like it will be slow as well.
I understand we're in a pandemic, and financial institution are backed up ect. What's really irritating me about this is that some of us are buying cars, home, and other financial transactions that relies on our credit.Every point counts.

Both my Citi DC cards have been updating no problem, as well as my Citi co-branded cards. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
