Delta to Blue, then apply for Delta again?

Just wondering what you guys think...  I applied and was approved for the Delta card.  They are converting the card and it will change over to the Blue card Aug 1st.  Would you consider applying for the Delta card again?

Why not let the prime Blue age a bit and then just apply for another prime? Or just wait a few months and ask for a CLI on that card after making timely payments...

I'm closing out my sub-prime cards.  I'm concerned my score will be affected.  I thought it would be best to apply now while my scores are o.k.  I guess I don't need another Amex.  Perhaps a Visa or Mastercard would be better.

I'm new to these forums, and I've see the term "sub prime" used here and there.  What are you referring to exactly when you say that?

I would say just hold on to the Blue for a while and then just ask for CLI every once in a while. That will be good for your score.
