I did request reports from LexisNexis and Innovis, but they won't be here for 7-10 business days. But curious to see what I find out I suppose. So interesting to know that there's more than just the big three credit bureaus, the more you know! So thanks for the help there, I do appreciate it.
thanks for that insight! Didn't realize that. If I already inquired with TU over the phone and they claim I have no collections, should I call again? When I called, we basically just went over the report I pulled today and there's no evidence of a reported collection on there. I'm determined to find out this discrepancy, but dang, it's driving me crazy.

How did you get a hold of a live person at Tu? What number you call

My guess here is that your orthodondist office's lending partner requested this particular report/score for whatever reason. It looks to be outdated (as suggested by @Anonymous ) by awhile, but the lender may still request it I guess. These "specialized" scoring models are often based on data which includes 3rd party data (from the 3 above mentioned entities for example) which is not reported to/maintained by the big 3 on a regular basis, but rather acquired for/provided to the requesting prospective lender upon request.
When Transunion has acquired/provided this specialized data and score to a lender, they will usually implant this 3rd party data into the additional information section near the lower portion of your actual credit report. It will be identified by lender/requester and the date it was requested.
Hope that helps.

@Who_wuda_thought Home run. I think you knocked it out of the park.

I contacted TU's Consumer Relations Department at 800-916-8800
probably called at 730p PST, right before they closed for the day so I got someone almost immediately.

<<<searching brain for some clever baseball related reply and coming up empty>>> 🙄😅
You were on it and just about had it. You just didn't realize it was right there for you 😉

Additional info section on my TU report
Hm, I only have 3 things in the additional information section. The inquiry analysis was Citi Bank getting more information on me (applied for a new CC through them on 7/4, blacked it out bc it has my full name). The other two was when I went through the initial stage of applying for an Apple CC but I didn't end up going through with it due to low approval odds at the time (both those are from 6/2020).
does this indicate that TU probably didn't acquire or provide 3rd party data?

Haha, so close I could almost taste it.

uggh! Welllll, not exactly.......
I kinda suspected you would come back with that in this particular case.
See, the thing is...that score model was created some time BEFORE the CFRA forbid the big 3 CB's from reporting and maintaining public record of judgments for collection of debt. It could very possibly be that TU is not allowed (by CFRA) to attach that information to your credit report. That doesn't necessarily mean they did not request it. Or....they requested it/provided it, and they weren't really supposed to. And um...no...they aren't gonna admit that freely if they messed up.
But you have it right there, sooo... 😁🤞

dang, alright. that makes sense though.
it's soooo difficult because I still firmly believe I've paid every single thing in my name on time, it's just bizarre I've received nothing in the mail about a bill being late etc or a phone call. like my rent and utilities are on autopay and anything health related is always paid in full with my hsa the day of service because I know my insurance covers basically nothing.
do you recommend calling TU again tmrw and demanding more of an answer? or should I try asking my orthodontist for more info? the TU rep was nice and all, but all he did was read my credit report to me and that's not the issue here. edit: I also asked him like four times why my orthodontist is claiming I have a collection on my record but he just told me he sees nothing pertaining to a collection.
