I got discover to trigger an off cycle update in the middle of the month. I had closed the month's statement balance at almost $1800. But after I paid it off, I asked for them to report my zero balance to the bureaus and they complied. This will improve my debt to income ratio and credit utilization. Had not previously known if this was possible, but it was very easy to message an agent to do it over text.
